Brutus Journal, Act 3, scene 1

Journal,
Today, we killed Caesar. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I loved Caesar, yes, but it needed to be done. He was far too ambitious for Rome, and Rome does not need a ruler like Caesar. If this deed was not done, Rome would be a Hell of a place to call home. I fear Mark Antony will betray us, and tell Rome that we killed him out of spite, and not good intentions. I will do my best to keep these Romans aware of my good intentions, and show them what a true leader can be.
