Antony journal, Act 3, Scene 1

Dear Diary,
They killed my Caesar! Those traitors! How could they kill my king? I once believed that Brutus had cared for Caesar, but now I fear that he never had. They will pay. I will find a way to betray those who betrayed my Caesar. One way or another, their actions will fall back on them. I couldn’t bear to see my Caesar, lying there in his own pool of blood. His many stab wounds horrified me. I will never lose that image, and I will never lose my hate for Brutus. They will all pay.
Mark Antony
